The Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd (Lake House), Sri Lanka’s Leading Newspaper Establishment invites bids for a contractor for the transportation of Newspapers on contract basis in the following routes.
Route 01 – Ihakuluwewa – Welikanda Distance km(s)
(Dambulla, Habarana, Minneriya, Jayanthipura, Polonnaruwa, Kaduruwela 287 km
Manampitiya, Kalukele, Siripura, Ellewewa, Aralaganwila, Medagama,
Sewanapitiya, Welikanda)
Route 02 – Ihakuluwewa – Bakamuna Distance km(s)
(Hingurakgoda, Medirigiriya, Diyasenpura, Galamuna, Pulathisigama, 159 km
Palugasdamana, Diyabeduma, Aththanakadawala, Bakamuna)
The Bid Document can be obtained from the Procurement Department of The Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd., No.35, D.R. Wijewardana Mawatha, Colombo – 10 from 30th September 2026 to 13th October 2026 between 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. on payment of non – refundable fee of Rs. 500/=.
Duly completed bids enclosed in a sealed envelope marked “Bids for the Distribution of Newspapers on Contract Basis” on the top left-hand corner addressed to Head of Procurement, The Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd, No. 35, D.R Wijewardana Mawatha, Colombo – 10, to reach on or before 14th October 2026 at 3.00 p.m.
Bids may be sent by post under registered cover or may be deposited in the bid box kept in the Procurement Dept. of The Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd, Lake House, No.35, D.R Wijewardana Mawatha, Colombo – 10.
Bids will be opened immediately after closing time of the bids. Bidders or their authorized representatives will be permitted to be present at the time of opening.
However, The Associated Newspaper of Ceylon Ltd, reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers without assigning any reason whatsoever.
