The Daily News launched its redesigned official website (www.dailynews.lk) today. Mass Media Deputy Minister Dr. Kaushalya Ariyarathne initiated the launch during her visit to Lake House. Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd (ANCL) Chairman Gamini Warushamana, Editorial Director Sisira Yapa and Daily News Editor-in-Chief Kesara Abeywardena participated in the event, along with other members of the Board of Directors, editors and senior officials.
Deputy Minister Dr. Ariyaratne held discussions with the management regarding the future direction of ANCL newspapers during the visit. The Daily News, founded on January 3, 1918, is the oldest English-language newspaper in Sri Lanka. It became the first Sri Lankan newspaper to establish an online presence on September 4, 1995.
The redesigned website introduces improved functionality and enhanced accessibility.
