The 35th Lux Sarasaviya Film Awards is poised to celebrate the country’s cinematic excellence today (28) at the BMICH, Colombo. The awards ceremony starts at 6 pm.

The queen of Sri Lankan cinema, the legendary Dr. Malini Fonseka will grace the event as the Chief Guest, while Transport, Highways and Mass Media Minister Dr. Bandula Gunawardhana will be the Guest of Honour. A total of 57 coveted awards will be presented to films released during the years 2019 and 2020, spanning a diverse array of categories including direction, acting, cinematography, playback singing and music composition.
The Sarasaviya Film festival is organized by the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited (Lake House).
